What is 7EIGHT5?

We love music. Whether it’s huge, big name musicians, or bands playing their first show, we love it. And being able to capture moments for those bands and artists are what brought us together in the first place. We want to highlight the area we come from, the local artists that helped solidify our love of music, and provide them a platform to be seen. If we can have some small part in helping bring them a larger audience, then it’s a great day for all of us. We aim to document and shine a light on why music, live and recorded, will never die.

Harrison Brent

Harrison is a photographer/videographer from the Hays area. After spending years in the video production world, he turned his sights to the local music scene in Hays and began capturing the moments on stage for the local artists.

Along with concert photography, Harrison has directed music videos for local artists Jordan Rome and Lawrence-based Horned Wolf.

Chelsea's heart belongs to Concert Photography. She began taking photos at small venues in the Midwest over three years ago & has no plans to stop anytime soon. You'll see her in the pit, camera in hand.

KC is a Live Audio Engineer, Musician, journalist, and Booking Agent from Hays, KS. You can always find KC at a concert. Whether he is playing the show, running sound for the show, or beside you in the crowd... He's there!

His passion for music is his life. Don't get him started on the OSees or King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, unless you have a couple hours to spare. The guy can talk, there is no doubt about that.

Hunter Gregory - Writer

Hunter is a musician and writer from Assaria, KS. With an interest in all things music history, he writes with an emphasis on teaching you something you might not have known about the music you love.

Sutton Thompson - Photographer

Sutton is a musician/photographer who’s passion lies in the music scene. Sutton’s love of capturing moments for other local artists began while rocking out on stage with their own band.

Brandon Schmidt is a Wichita-based live music photographer and Kansas native. Since beginning his work in the field in November 2021, he has shot everything from large scale festivals in Kansas City to parking lot concerts where he was the only one in attendance.

By day, Mary manages a prepress department for an envelope manufacturer. Mary also works as a production runner for Backstage Services at different venues in the KC area. When not working, Mary is behind her camera shooting concerts, nightscapes, star trail, and couture portraits. Mary just graduated with her BA in digital photography and is currently working on her Master’s.
