Puscifer, Normal Isn’t ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌
Puscifer is back with a new album. Puscifer is a great band name, by the way. Sometimes I’ll see people online saying it’s a bad band name, or it’s cringe. I completely disagree. Also, I’m guessing these people have never tried to think up a band name. Go ahead and try it.
But anyways, this album is dark, moody, a slow burn, and surprisingly, above all else, pretty funny. The music is very gothic inspired. It’s fairly lowkey and subdued, but not to the point of being boring. No, there’s plenty of interesting stuff going on here, because, well… Of course there is. It’s a Maynard James Keenan project.
Lyrically, it’s very topical, cynical and enigmatic, but also very funny. Maynard’s sardonic humor cuts through like a knife. A lot of amusing wordplay.
Overall, I really enjoyed this. A nice balance of brooding and levity.
