Nevin’s Shed
I personally groan at the thought of cover bands. *Cue the worlds biggest eye roll* If I wanted to hear others music, I would listen to the originals, right? Especially when a lot of cover bands play covers of songs that all audiences want to hear. I get it, we’ve heard “Sister Christian” for the thousandth time, but there’s only so many “hits” I can listen to before I need to escape and hear music I’ve either never heard before or haven’t heard in a very long time.
And that’s where the groups that played the other night at Nevin’s came in. From the uniquely named Dave Matthews Band Cover Band playing an evening of songs centered around the color Blue, to the classic rock jammers of Esper Winds, to the only band to take me back to my high school days watching (the original) ECW Wrestling with White Zombie’s “Thunderkiss ’65“, Kyndred. Partying at Nevin’s Shed is always a good time. If you haven’t been there for a show, what are you waiting for?
