I can’t believe that it’s been a little over 2 years since I last was at a Cold show. That was back in Denver during the “Year of the Spider 20th Anniversary Tour”, and while that show (which I also saw in Phoenix a month earlier) brought with it the memories and emotions of hearing the album live, this show returned me to an even earlier time. It was 2000 and we
I had thought for months about what I was going to write about the two albums they played in their entirety at this show, being the 25th Anniversary of 13 Ways to Bleed Onstage and the 20th Anniversary of A Different Kind of Pain. Each album came out at very different periods in my life. Being able to experience both of them back to back reopened some old wounds and healed them with ease.
