Can we please talk about how quality and well rounded the rock-country group Lane Haas and the Heelers are? Not your average country rock, the Stillwater, Oklahoma based group absolutely deserve to grow out to a wider audience, and they absolutely will as they progress from show to show. Their opening performance at the Fox Friday night was the best kicker to jumpstart the evening, beginning with “Light On”, “Cursed”, “Bitch”, and even a new track called “Buried”. Sounding full, complete, and seemingly destined for bigger things, audiences should absolutely check them out wherever you find your music. (Spotify).

Dodge City’s own Aether took the stage next pummelling the audience with their brand of hard rock and metal. Without a doubt another area act that is destined for bigger things. Having opened earlier this year for Hairball at the United Wireless Arena in Dodge City, the foursome are no strangers to taking a hold of an audience and taking them for a ride. Showcasing a lot of their originals, from “In Your Prison”, “Blue Pill”, and their newest single “Make Me”, their driving riffs and energy never fail to get a crowd off their feet. Keep your ears peeled for their next single, “Stir“, dropping next Friday, the 30th. (Spotify)

Back in the day, Southern Rock was aquatinted with the likes of Lynyrd, 38 Special, Allman Brothers; but as Saving Abel took the stage to showcase the music that put them on the charts, even music that hasn’t even been released yet. About halfway thru their set, I felt that this was the newest iteration of what Southern Rock could be, as the preacher took to his alter and preached to his church. Less familiar with Saving Abel than the previous two, Abel took on a good old fashioned rock show, never failing to entertain and bring the crowd to their move and feel the music. (Spotify)
