Hinds, Viva Hinds ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌
The Hinds are back with their fourth album, and first album since the departure of bassist Ade Martin and drummer Amber Grimbergen. But they don’t miss a step. Right from the start, they show you why they’re indie rock superstars. They effortlessly mix garage rock and pop elements, and the outcome is a very melodic, very good album.
The first thing that sticks out is the lyricism and vocal delivery. It’s very clever, witty, and funny. At times Carlotta Cosials and Ana García Perrote trade off lines, and it sounds like a couple of friends conversing and trading jokes back and forth. It really endears them to you. But they can also be angry and cutting when the mood calls for it.
