Nothing like a show at the Rino to make a person feel alive. At a hardcore show, you should expect some two-stepping, fist throwing, spin kicks, and getting thrown around into everyone else. It’s been nearly 5 years since I’ve last been to the Rino in North KC, and it still is one of the best small venues in the area. The show on Friday night was supposed to include Defaced on the bill, but they had to back out
Starting off the evening was Cauterized, where I received my first spin kick of the evening from Billy lead singer Booker.
With a short, 3 song set, One Big Game kept the energy pumping and the fists flying.
Legalize Homicide brought stage diving from lead singer, Jacob Deichert, and a guttural growl that etched itself into the pits of the crowds stomachs.
Billy, dropping a new EP, Control Burn, earlier this month, closed out a constantly energized show where the audience never slowed down, never tired out.
