Chuck D of Public Enemy is back with a new album. I did not realize he is still as prolific as he is. I just figured he was one of those old heads of hip hop that has slowed down over the years. But no. He stays busy.
But anyways, onto the album. This is a trip to listen to. Non-stop action through beats, samples, sketches, and of course political musings, all coming at you at a breakneck pace. The result is this old school inflected sonic stew of political musings that is capable of rallying even the most apolitical among us into the streets.
I feel it’s impossible to really do this album justice through writing. It’s something you need to experience. I whole heartedly recommend you listen to this.
