Cardi B, AM I THE DRAMA? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌

Cardi B is back with her highly anticipated follow up to Invasion of Privacy. I’ve got to be honest, I did not think this album would ever actually materialize. She has been brutally honest in the past about just not having the motivation to make a full length album. And I mean, 2018 is a long time ago. Might as well be a century ago as far as music and pop culture is concerned.

But alas, here we are, and here it is. I’ll admit, I’ve never been the biggest fan of Cardi B’s style, but damn it if this 23 song, 1 hour and 11 minutes tour de force did not convert me. This album is dripping with her charisma, humor, and personality, and it is infectious.

And as far as her previous quotes about not being motivated, forget that. She is on a war path on this album. She goes scorched Earth on her exes, the women that chase after them, and her rivals in rap. And the music is very inspired here. It’s a very nostalgic 90s East Coast feel.

Also, the song “On My Back (feat. Lourdiz)” has one of the funniest lyrics I’ve ever heard. “Lay me on my back while you be fuckin’ me / Chain swingin’ in my face, Jesus piece be headbuttin’ me.”

Favorite Song: “Pretty & Petty”
