Thundercat, Distracted ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌
Thundercat is back with his first album in six years. Thundercat being of course famed bassist Thundercat, and not a titular Thundercat from the 1980s cartoon. Although, maybe one of them is also dropping an album. I don’t know what they’ve been up to since their show ended.
But anyways, this album is really great. If you’re in the mood for some easy listening, yet interesting, R&B with some Star Wars references sprinkled in, then you are in luck. There are also multiple cameos on this album. Tame Impala, Flying Lotus, and Lil Yachty all featuring. And most surprisingly, a posthumous appearance from Mac Miller.
My one gripe is that the tail end of this album drags a bit. This is definitely front loaded. But the last line of the last song being “Maybe I should start an OnlyFans and show some feet” damn near makes up for it.
