Gracie Abrams is back with a new album. It’s called Daughter from Hell. But a more apt title would be Album from Hell, amirite?
No, but in all seriousness, this is a competent album. It will get radio play, probably be commercials, do good numbers on streaming. But I’m still wondering who Gracie Abrams is for. Basically everything she does is diet Taylor Swift or diet Phoebe Bridgers. So… Is it for people who aren’t aware of those artists? Or people who just want a watered down version of them? Or just looking for something to tide them over between albums?
But either way, at least this time the marketing for this album wasn’t just “Hey, I’m friends with Taylor Swift!” So progress.
