The Smile, Wall of Eyes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Radiohead side project, The Smile, are back with their sophomore album, and it’s an instant classic. I know, how cliché. A music critic gushing over a Thom Yorke project. But I was one of the few that was left underwhelmed by their debut album, A Light for Attracting Attention. But this is a step up in every sense.
The songwriting on display here could easily rank among some of Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood’s finest, the group’s virtuosic musicianship is on full display the whole thing through, and unlike their debut, this album never lulls. It just gets better and better as it goes. Do yourself a favor and listen to this.
