On Friday, March 10th, three bands took the stage at The Paramount in Salina, KS. Tree Kitty, Thunderbird Hotel, and Ellyria.
Hays’ Tree Kitty filled in for Manhattan’s The Sounds of Many as they weren’t able to attend due to a family emergency. They delivered their set with their usual freewheelin’ flair, and was, as always, a treat to hear.
Thunderbird Hotel, hailing from Dodge City, made their Salina debut. They were the newest band on the bill, but already play together like an established band of veterans. They even debuted a brand new song, which they claimed to have never played together in person until that night. They’re a tight unit.
The local Ellyria closed the show. They seem to get better with every show. The vocals get stronger, and the band gets tighter. The two guitars work good together, complimenting each other nicely.
