Beyoncé COWBOY CARTER ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beyoncé is back with her second installment in the Act/Renaissance/whatever it’s called, she hasn’t really given it a name, trilogy. But regardless of the confusion over the name of this trilogy, there is no confusion when it comes to this album. This album is great.

Listening to this album really is like listening to a condensed music history lesson, and I know that might sound cliché. There have been a lot of homage albums, and journey-through-music-history albums. But this one is so thorough and precise. It’s actively deconstructing the concept of genres and showing you the connective tissue between all of the sounds and influences (yes, more than just Country) present on this album. Many albums have attempted to do what this album does, but very few, if any, have done it so overtly and with such precision.

Yes, I highly recommend listening to this album.

Favorite song: “BODYGUARD”
