MISAMO, HAUTE COUTURE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌
Following last week where I was overwhelmed with choices for albums to review with The Cure, Tyler, and Willie Nelson all releasing last week, this week was very barren. Nothing that jumped out at me as a must review, and nothing I was really interested in. So I decided to go with simply what I thought would be the most interesting. So I landed on this J-pop album.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m a bit out of my depth when it comes to J-pop. Closest I’ve come to it is that Japanese rapper featuring on Megan Thee Stallion’s new album. I had no idea what I was getting into. But to my surprise, I found myself really enjoying this album. Definitely the surprise of the year.
Everything about this album exudes fun. It’s impossible not to find yourself grooving along with the music. This is the type of pop music that is undeniable. And the vocal performances on here are smooth as honey, and the production is impeccable. My one complaint, believe it or not, is that it’s too short at only 29 minutes. Might be the only time you’ll ever see me say a pop album is too short.
