Storms were brewing, but not the weather kind.

If you haven’t heard of Austin Meade, you must do yourself a favor and check out this band. They are full of energy and abstract lyrics that get you in a grove.  Their rock, grunge, and rockabilly tones fill the band’s current album Abstract Art of an Unstable Mind.

Check out their tour dates and see Austin Meade in a city near you. You will not be disappointed. Pay attention to the lyrics. You may just giggle and spew your drink.

I Prevail did not disappoint in their delivery for the second support act of the night. Bringing high energy to get the aforementioned storm brewing even more. Brian and Eric pair their voices for harmonies and deep demon vocals to tell stories that resonate with their listeners. Eric even got up close and personal with fans as he ran through the aisleways, singing and working the crowd. Their latest album, TRUE POWER, is available wherever you stream music

Between their set and Godsmack’s, fans watched Mix Master Mike from the Beastie Boys rip and scratch some old tunes on a pre-recorded reel on the dual-purpose curtain.

The last time Godsmack played in the Kansas City area was in 2019. The storm has been brewing, and man, did they ever deliver with a superb on-point sound, a stellar light show, and one helluva pyro show. Shannon and Sully carried on with traditions and gave the fans a killer dulling drum battle, which did not disappoint or miss a beat. Sadly, this is the last album of drumbeats for Godsmack, as Light Up the Sky is their final album. It is not known if Godsmack will continue to tour after this album.

Thank you for bringing the Godsmack storm through KC once again.
