Sept. 1st, Royal Blood Back to the Water Below *MUST HEAR*
Full disclosure, I’ve never really been a Royal Blood fan. I’ve never really cared for anything I’ve heard from them, and after the stunt they pulled at BBC 1’s Big Weekend festival, I really wasn’t expecting much from this. But the unexpected happened… This album is actually really great.
There’s a lot going on in these songs, both texture and structure wise. The production is A+ and the songwriting is not that far behind. This album embodies what this experiment of me listening to a new album every week is all about. Getting me to listen to things I never would otherwise, and dispelling my preconceived notions.
